Marquis Who's Who Honors Samantha Smith for Excellence in Health and Wellness

Samantha Smith has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Smith is the successful founder and Chief Executive Officer of EverSmith Organics, a company she founded during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Exploring natural remedies during a time when she was confident she had contracted the Coronavirus, she sought to find a solution to help her breathe better, and aid in the removal of the mucus forming in her lungs. Prior to contracting the illness, she had no previous respiratory issues. After extensive research, Ms. Smith discovered several products, including sea moss, a natural remedy that not only boosts the immune system but is all-natural.

Upon acquiring sea moss from the Caribbean, she consumed it as sea moss gel, which swiftly improved her symptoms and aided in her recovery. This prompted Ms. Smith to craft her own fruit-flavored sea moss gel recipes, to make it more flavorful and convenient to consume by itself. Plain sea moss gel is typically added to a drink or food to mask its taste and texture. Due to her culinary background, her recipes were an instant success, gaining great popularity amongst her friends, family, and local community. The overwhelming demand for her products led her to create the first-ever FDA-registered, fruit-flavored sea moss gels, which have since gained popularity nationally, and worldwide. Recognized as the first of its kind, her products have been a bestseller on Amazon for over three years and have garnered over $4 million in sales in its second year alone. Her company EverSmith Organics was also the first in Virginia to be approved by the Department of Agriculture to manufacture and sell sea moss products, which has paved the way for others to follow in its path.

Looking toward future endeavors, Ms. Smith intends to expand the company's reach in the wholesale market, earning placement in several well-known grocery chains and big box retailers. Ms. Smith is also penning her first self-help book, which she aims to complete in the next year.

In addition to her responsibilities managing EverSmith Organics, Ms. Smith has found success as the Chief Executive Officer at Anthem IT Solutions since 2010. Before becoming an entrepreneur, she was a human resources manager and quality assurance specialist at VMD Systems Integrators Inc. in Vienna, Virginia, from 2008 to 2010. Ms. Smith also gained experience as a human resources manager at Sogeti between 2007 and 2008, and a data center asset manager at Microsoft between 2004 and 2007.

Civically active, Ms. Smith is a partner in conservation with the World Wildlife Fund and supports the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. As an extension of her company, she also supports sea moss farmers abroad in the Caribbean Islands.

Ms. Smith holds an Associate of Science in Computer and information sciences and networking from ECPI University since 2004. She also received a bachelor's degree in organizational management from Ashford University in 2008. Ms. Smith is Net+ certified through CompTIA.
